Creating a reliable data basis
A harmonised and consistent data basis is a success factor successful controlling and the interaction between the individual products in zeb//control. This is ensured by zeb//control data management. When the data structures are developed, a lean ETL process with a strong performance is always set up taking the data and data quality requirements for the solution as a starting point. All the structures, such as organisational and customer structures as well as risk classes, that are relevant for analyses are laid down in zeb//control data management. Thus, the system integrates all the management-relevant information on all the on-balance-sheet and off-balance-sheet transactions of your insurance company.
The open architecture of the system uses already existing data warehouses and permits any increase in data volumes as well as flexible adjustments to changing corporate structures.
- Automated interfaces allow you to transfer all the data required, import them into the system and compute them in line with the relevant methods.
- In addition, you can integrate data from diverse, company-specific feeder systems (portfolio systems, collections/disbursements, accounting, etc.). As a result, you have a comprehensive controlling database.
- The ETL process can be easily controlled by the relevant data manager via the graphical zeb//control frontend.
- The structured storage and processing of data allows you to analyse the earnings and risk structures of your enterprise in great detail and with high performance.
Management-relevant information requires a consistent data basis of sustainably high quality. Timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the data are of utmost relevance for the successful use of zeb//control.
With the data quality manager, zeb//control data management offers a tool that integrates the software into existing processes and, additionally, creates a DQM system that is compatible with your corporate culture. Here, you can integrate, correct and upgrade individual data. Rule-based data optimisation can be customised.
This data cleansing system that has a web frontend and can be used in IT centres allows business users without detailed technical know-how to check and correct the data within the framework of their responsibilities based on appropriate authorisations. In diverse functional contexts, data can be transparently eliminated, modified or re-imported with changes being logged in a way ensuring audit acceptability.

Working smoothly in a web-based correction table
You can enter corrections to data in the web frontend of zeb//control data cleansing to generate correction records. The web-based correction table allows you to work efficiently.
First checks of data quality directly during input
Data quality is already checked directly during input. These verifications include data types, mandatory fields and parts of lists of valid values.
Further (more complex) data quality checks
In a second step, all correction records are validated (mandatory before the records are released) on the basis of complex DQ rules (several hundred rules can be defined).
Incorrect fields highlighted in colour
All the fields affected by errors or warnings are highlighted in colour. A list of all errors and warnings is shown in the Problems tab.
Managing the ETL job for DQ reporting
On the easy-to-use web frontend of zeb//control data integration, you can start the ETL job for transferring data to DQ reporting.
DQ impact analysis
The impact analysis indicates whether data quality deficiencies - for a user-selected indicator (TURNOVER in the example) - have a significant functional impact.
